Save and back up digital devices

On computers and NAS devices, save open files, run a quick backup to an external drive or cloud service, and shut down properly. Avoid pulling the plug while operating systems are running.

Unplug entertainment and office electronics

Disconnect TVs, monitors, sound bars, desktop computers, printers, and gaming consoles from their outlets. Even when powered off, these draw phantom power and are vulnerable to surges.

Disconnect kitchen small appliances
